How to Plan a Field Trip 1) Don't wait for someone else to do it! 2) Take a look around - what would you like to learn about? Fire Hall? Police Station? Armstrong Cheese Factory? KLO farm? Most places are pleased to show people what they do. 3) Once you've come up with your "dream" field trip list, start phoning. Find out things like i. is there a cost; ii. is there an age limit; iii. is there a minimum or maximum number of people; iv. set times and dates; 4) Make your announcement (you can email one of the contact people from the site to have your annoucement posted) and prepare to be inundated with calls!! Other Hints: 1. If there is a cost involved for the field trip, you may want to collect the money in advance. 2. Make everyone aware of field trip etiquette and/or special considerations or rules for the location of your trip. ENJOY LEARNING WITH YOUR KIDS! |

Try this link for some free educational fun! Hello, My husband has spent many years creating www.toytheater.com as a free and quality educational website for PreK through Grade 5. It covers areas of math, reading, art and music. Please visit when you have a chance to see if it can help with your homeschooling experience. It is completely free and will remain that way. We want children to learn!
Thanks, Maaria Hoagland |
